If you really must use those pesky little juice
boxes, try holding a finger over the straight
end of the straw when you poke the pointy end
into the box. Mr. Wizard (anybody else remember
Don Herbert???) could poke an ordinary paper
straw thru a potato using this technique.
Seems like you trap the air inside the straw
and that increases its strength.
However... Those boxes are made from various
layers of plastic, foil, and paper so they're
impossible to recycle and live in our landfills
forever. I'd recommend you find something a little
more user- and planet-friendly as a juice container.
