What is your understanding of what CUA stands for (I've heard two or three
variations) and what resource(s) do you recommend for CUA guidelines?

CUA stands for the Catholic University of America (in Washington D.C.).
I write it on checks for many $$ every month (my daughter is in the
music school there). The checks always get cashed, so that's what it
must mean, no?
