The Orlando Chapter of the STC is proud to announce the Twelfth Annual
Florida Technical Communication Conference. This one-day conference, to
be held on Friday, March 1, at the Expo Centre in Orlando, Florida, is
dedicated to examining trends that affect technical communicators. The
audience for the conference consists of professionals in technical
communication in education and industry.

You are invited to submit a proposal for a 60- or 90-minute
presentation, workshop, panel discussion, or demonstration. Although
the program committee will consider proposals on any topic relevant to
technical communication, we encourage proposals focusing on current
trends and how they affect communicators.

Our keynote speaker for the 1996 conference will be Dr. Conrad
Gottfredson, an internationally recognized expert in computer
documentation, training, and support. He was formerly director
of user support for a Fortune 25 corporation, where he supervised the
development and implementation of training curricula, documentation, and
help-desk support for computer technology ranging from desktop to super
computers. During the past 15 years, Dr. Gottfredson has been involved
with the design and management of instructional systems in both industry
and academia. He has a Ph.D. in Instructional Sciences.

Your proposal must be postmarked by October 14, 1995, to be considered
by the program committee. You will be notified of its acceptance by
November 4, 1995. All presenters must register for the conference and
will receive a 20-percent discount off regular Conference fees.
