Karen Mayer wondered about 17" vs. 21" monitors, to which Dick Harris
replied:

I have a Portrait/15 Plus monitor and it works just fine! It's a
rotating color monitor (with high res graphic board) and allows me to
use our software products on a landscape format, and then I can
switch and rotate the monitor to see a full page layout. I couldn't
justify the 21" monitor (and actually wouldn't want one since, with
my workstation setup here in my office, I literally would be
nose-to-nose with a large monitor!). So I managed to get a
compromise! I love the fact that I can use it in landscape (which I
do almost exclusively) and yet when I need to see what I'm a gonna
get (that old WYSIWYG!), I press a couple of keys on my keyboard and
then I turn the monitor.

It might be a viable alternative if you can't do the 21"
justify-thang!
