Frame has incorporated Quadralay Lite, an HTML converter, into FrameMaker
rel 5.

I don't believe that Frame has a PageMaker import/export. I use Word to go
between the two (save from PM as Word; save from Frame as Word for Windows
2.0). I expect that after the merger, Adobe will have a PM import/export for
Frame, and a Frame import/export for PageMaker. This is only conjecture, though.

FrameMaker has an export option to PDF for Acrobat viewing. It, too, is
bundled in FM rel 5.

I used Word 6.0 on one of Microsoft's text files, and boy! was it SLOW! It
took anywhere from 8 to 30 seconds to scroll down a page! Ouch! And I was on
a tight deadline! I think they used hidden text, which made it run sooooo
slowly.

I used to be a big fan of Word on the Mac, but it looks to me as if MS has
dumped as much "stuff" into their existing product without consideration for
performance. Features, features, features.
Forget about how well it performs, as a whole program.
