The Mac operating system is simpler than Windows, with the possible
exception
of Windows '95, which is quite Mac-like, in the user interface, if in
nothing else.
I believe the reason that the simpler, more technological (at the time of
release,
anyway) operating system did not become the dominant one is that Apple made
the extremely poor business decision of not releasing source code. No
source
code = no applications can be written by developers. No applications = no
dominance.

Windows 95 = Macintosh 86/7
