Subject:Frame list (and others) From:Jane Bergen <janeb -at- IADFW -dot- NET> Date:Tue, 24 Oct 1995 12:24:50 +0000
I'm not sure just how current this info is, but you might give it a
try:
For FrameMaker
Newsgroup = comp.text.frame
To Subscribe to the mail list
send request to majordomo -at- math -dot- mcgill -dot- ca
To post to the mail list
send mail to framers -at- uunet -dot- uu -dot- net
For WinHelp (all developers of online help using any or no tools)
Newsgroup=comp.os.ms-windows.programmer.winhelp
To subscribe to the mail list
send request to LISTSERV -at- ADMIN -dot- HUMBERC -dot- ON -dot- CA
To post to the mail list
send mail to winhlp-l -at- admin -dot- humberc -dot- on -dot- ca
For Word
Newsgroup=comp.ms-windows.apps.word-proc (all word proc but seems
to be mostly Word. The Word newsgroup had about 3 or 4 posts per
week.
To subscribe to the mail list
send request to LISTSERV -at- ufobi1 -dot- uni-forst -dot- gwdg -dot- de
To post to the mail list
send mail to WORD-PC -at- ufobi1 -dot- uni-forst -dot- gwdg -dot- de
As with this list, just put the following line in the body of your
message to subscribe:
subscribe <listname> Jane Doe
For <list name>, use the first word of the mail address: Framers,
Winhelp-l, or word-PC.
As I said, this may not be current. Check some of the excellent web
references to tech writer pages for more information if this doesn't
work.
