Betsy,

For what it's worth, I prefer "Unix" because the letters do not
stand for words and because successions of capital letters are
rarely satisfactorily kerned.

On the other hand, this might be more useful. The Adobe trademark
page (among others) gives this citation:

UNIX is a trademark registered in the United States and other
countries, licensed exclusively through X/Open Company, Ltd.
