Darcey, I love it! Having spent 8 years as an engineer doing front-end
conceptual design for refineries and chemical plants (before I saw the light
and became a technical writer), most of this piece applies to conceptual
chemical engineering design as well.
I used to see requests for proposals to construct refinery units that were
about as well-thought-out as these instructions.
