Most of the left-handed people I know use the default mouse-button layout
anyway (this is probably because they don't know how to change it, but that's
beside the point). I know of only one "lefty" friend who ever bothered
reversing the button mapping on her system, but she changed it back since
everyone else who used their machine was used to the standard map.

OS/2's online documentation refers to "Button 1" and "Button 2" (the system by
default doesn't use a third button, although specific or third-party drivers
do allow it to be configured and mapped), as does the mouse-configuration
panel itself.
Seems like a reasonable solution to me.
