A UK 'Interpretation Act' dated c. 1805 says in part "Unless the context
requires otherwise the singular includes the plural, masculine includes
feminine, months are calendar months ...'
By a recent decision Canada's Federal Government requires the use of they,
etc with singular verbs in otherwise sexist documents.
But nobody does anything special for lefties!!!
