About a year ago, I was working on a manual for a German customer. When
a representative of the company saw all the warnings and cautions we'd
inserted (at the instruction of our attorneys), his reaction was "How stupid
do you think I am, that I have to be reminded of these things on every page?"
I agreed, but the attorneys did not.
