If you are not the client's employee, then you automatically start out
owning the copyright. Since you are ghostwriting the article, i.e., writing
it to appear with the client's byline, the client surely wants to own the
copyright.

You can sell the copyright any way you like. You just need to make it
explicit. I think selling it for a specific amount would be the cleanest
