We don't disqualify a candidate based on lack of experience with our DTP (we
use FrameMaker). We would prefer that they know FrameMaker or at least one DTP
program, but that isn't required either. All new doc specialists attend a basic
and intermediate FrameMaker training class (unless of course, they are well
versed in the package). We have made that a standard and have kept to if with
the last seven new hires.
