Sad but true the oft-cited shrinking wage gap has more to do with the
decline in salaries for men than
improvements in wages offered to women. Real wages for the bottom 60% of
wage earners in the US have declined since 1973. Thus women *are* narrowing
the gap-- more and more men are earning more like women.
