Sheldon,

A good source on a lot of basic, and advanced, information on tools and
web technology can be found at
http://www.cio.com/WebMaster/wm_notebook.html. I recommend this site to
a lot of people.

Another site for more general info is http://www.cnet.com/

To me Internet Assistant is barely OK. It converts files to HTML, but
doesn't allow you to add any of the basic page components, like
background color, that true converters do. See HTML Transit and Web
Publisher (from SkiSoft). HotMeTaL does a good job of converting Word
files, too, and, while not as complete as the two, does generate legal
HTML code.

FrontPage is a pretty complete WYSIWYG editor, if that is what you want,
and it has good extra features, like a graphical display of the web site
and some work group tools.
