Subject:More on WWW graphics From:Tracy Boyington <trlyboyi -at- GENESIS -dot- ODVTE -dot- STATE -dot- OK -dot- US> Date:Tue, 23 Apr 1996 11:57:37 +0000
OK, I wasn't going to ask this, cause it's not really on topic, but
I've seen some signs that we have some web graphic designers on this
list, so here goes:
I'm having trouble creating a GIF with a transparent background. It
works perfectly when I view it on my 256-color monitor, but when I
view it on a 16-color monitor the "transparent" color is black. I've
tried this with several different background colors. Anybody have a
clue what I'm doing wrong?
Apologies to Eric and others who have surely realized by now that
this is pretty far off topic, but on the other hand, no more than
the spousal salary debate. (BTW, I make more than him and it's OK
with us.)

I never express opinions, but if one slips out, it belongs
to me and not ODVTE.
