Responding to Dick Harris' comment that he puts in the most effort
on responses to surveys and on the job when he thinks he will make a
difference -- I agree but want to add two points. 1) We can make a
difference out there in the market place or in our own conscience. I
want to do each job to my own satisfaction. 2) Economic activity
drives our business. Making a difference doesn't always pay the bill.
Effort has to be tailored to compensation to some extent. These two
points have to balance in my life.
