Gang,

We went over this when we heard it from the WinWriters conference in
Seattle. If all of you want to panic about this and worry how your WinHelp
files will change, please excercise your rights to do so. However, taking
into account that WHAT makers are already providing rtf to html conversion
utilities , I'm not fretting over this.

In addition, consider:

Microsoft's track record with feature switches like this
how many client desktops have not even gone to Win95 yet!

so... don't fret this one WinHelpers. We can handle the move from rtf to
html just fine. I'm confident in the whole group!!!!!! :-)

There's not really much to tell -- yet. Microsoft unloaded the bombshell a
couple of months ago at a conference, but has provided no further details
since. Everybody's panicking, but based on the Win95 history, it seems a
safe bet that it won't actually happen in mid-97. I just hope we don't have
to wait for "Win2000"! :-)
