That would depend on who was responsible, where and when.

These bodies tend to have their HQs in Europe, so they're more likely to
have British than US writers and translators around. Also UN rates of pay
look marvelous to a Brit, but are less attractive to a North American,
unless (s)he has other reasons for spending a few years in Europe.
