My experience on a 486DX4/100 with 16 MB RAM: 10 minutes for some 150 topics.

I have a love/hate relationship with Doc-to-Help: It is quite handy to use all
of the power Winbasic has. But Winword has defenitely not been designed with
online help generation in mind.

Just a small hint: Visual Basic (a 3-topic demo is in CICA as VH.ZIP) is quite
handy for prototypes. You can easily click together some kind of dummy help
system where every topic contains nothing but its ID. The indexing system of
Visual Help is quite handy during software and help developement:

- Programmers can check the help system calls.
- You can find where which topic is called.

Greetings from Germany,
Alexander
