My first reaction was to wonder why anybody would be diagrammatically
impaired, then I remembered:
a) I had to be taught to read maps (I remember all too well getting the view
from the top of a convex slope wrong. ---- The contours were perfectly clear!)
b) During WW2 a Gurkha soldier found his way through the Malayan jungle to
India using a map of the London underground.

Back to writing for audiences and complaining about inadequate education.
Tim may well need different approaches for different countries. (Ugh!)
