depending on how much the technical writers are involved in the developing
process, we discussed here in TECHWR-L about an 1:3 ... 1:10 ratio between
writers and programmers.
The lower ratio allows the writer to think about usability issues of the user
interface and so on. The 1:10 ratio means the writers simply take what they
get and try to sell some bugs as features :-)
