I used to have a *killer* word processor for my C-64 - it was called
Paperback Writer and had many of the features we now take for granted,
including pseudo-WYSIWYG (80-column text was emulated in hi-res
graphics, and such extras as bold, italics, underline and
super/subscript were displayed as colored text), extensive online help
(in fact, the "manual" it came with told only how to load it up :) and
of course, well-appointed spellchecker.
Paperback's dictionary was really just a plain cr-delimited textfile,
so adding your favorite terms to it was as simple as loading the
dictionary in as an ASCII file and just adding the words to the end of
the list.
