Right, that's it, I can stand it no longer.
Throughout discussions on this list which talk about fonts, contributors
constantly refer to "san serif" fonts. They are "sans serif" fonts -
"sans" "sans" "sans". Sans always has an "S" on the end - there are
absolutely, positively, categorically no exceptions whatsoever to this
spelling of the term.
Therefore, would you all kindly cease ommitting the final "S" in "sans",
before my head becomes completely balded by the physical manifestation of
my frustration.
