Job Title: Senior Technical Writer
Job Summary: Design, write, and edit hardcopy documentation for a range of software products aimed at manufacturers worldwide.
Tools: Primarily FrameMaker and UNIX. Also Windows, WindowsNT and MacOS.

Primary job functions:
Design, write, and revise documentation such as user guides, reference guides, release notes, administrator guides.
Cooperate to allow every writer to meet deadllines and be successful.
Seek information from engineers and other experts throughout the company.
Test software while documenting it, and assist QA in identifying bugs and verifying their closure.
Function as a part of one or more teams to improve product and its documentation.
Innovate to institute doc changes that will make our manuals more effective.
Assist in book production activities
Provide editing services as needed

Required skills:
Excellent writing and editing
Superior verbal communication
Proficiency with FrameMaker, UNIX, Windows
Multitasking
Ability to plan and schedule time effectively

Qualifications:
At least 5 years experience in writing documentation for software or hardware products
Flexibility and creativity
Knowledge of the manufacturing environment a plus
Willingness to work long hours with talented, friendly people
