We are almost done converting our WP 5.1 for DOS docs to FrameMaker 4. It
has been a lot of work - Frame doesn't lose _all_ the formatting, just
_most_ of it. Most of the time it's easier to take the ASCII from WP and
format it in Frame. Formatting in Frame is not a huge job once you get some
templates put together.

FWIW, I'm very happy with Frame - although it has some bugs. The
cross-platform stuff works very well.

We currently distribute our docs online with FrameViewer. We are exploring
going to HTML. So far, WebWorks looks good to convert Frame to HTML without
any additional tinkering.
