Subject:Re: Interface Design - who does it? From:Ruth Glaser <ruthg -at- GORETEK -dot- COM> Date:Wed, 4 Sep 1996 10:52:01 -0500
Further clarification for my earlier post regarding Interface Design.
1. As part of our development methodology, we use User Centered
Design. The interface we be tested early & often with actual
end users.
2. The system we are developing is *HUGE* - it includes accounting/
financial applications (G/L, A/P, A/R, etc.) and manufacturing/
distribution applications (Order Entry, EDI, BOM, Purchasing, etc.)
3. Because of the size of the system, I don't anticipate the interface
designer will design each interface, rather establish general
guidelines, consistencies, etc. and ensure they are followed.
4. The new product will not necessarily be a Windows product (the
current product is not.)
Hope this clarifies the type of input I'm looking for.
