The major computer book publishers do not secure permission to use screen
captures of the products their books cover. The subject never came up
during my tenure as an editor of such books.

On the other hand, IDG Books secures permission to print screen captures of
World Wide Web pages. (The permissions task for _World Wide Web SECRETS_
nearly killed the book's poor editor.)
