I am a bit confused.

If everyone is offended by someone else's quote containing a politically
incorrect slang word, why are they all including it in their messages?

Reading it once was enough, thanks.

And, yes, it does distract from concentrating on the actual message.
Maybe that is the best reason not to use it.
If one word or phrase detours the reader from the main point,
the writing has not succeeded in it's original purpose.

How many people recall or replied to the original topic of the message?
