TECHNICAL WRITER
Technical writer with B.A or B.S. or equivalent and 4+ years experience in
writing computer-based technical documentation. Must be able to communicate
effectively with technical personnel to gain required information and must
have the ability to translate technical information into documents that are
easily understood by a lay audience, but are detailed enough for a highly
technical audience. Experience in data/telecommunication and/or Internet is
highly desirable.
Ability to work independently is a must; however, position also requires
close cooperation with other members of the Technical Publications team.
Must have excellent writing, interviewing, and organizational skills.
Computer skills are required, desktop publishing experience is highly
desirable. Experience preferred in use of FrameMaker and Adobe Illustrator
for the PC, with experience in UNIX and online documentation desirable.
