Are you dealing with an international or US audience? If the US, the
Southwestern Bell phone book uses 1-111-111-1111 or 1+111+111-1111. I would
think the people who do the phone books would be the "experts," don't you? :-)
I'm not sure what you would do for international audiences. I've seen dots,
dashes, spaces, parens, you name it.
