Subject:Re: Use of periods in phone numbers From:WRONECKI Frederic DG <frederic -dot- wronecki -at- FRANCETELECOM -dot- FR> Date:Fri, 27 Sep 1996 14:36:27 +0200
My $0.02 on this topic :
The French telephone numbering system, starting on Oct., 18, will be
awkwardly simple : 10 digits for everyone, everywhere !
Official spelling : two-digit groups with spaces, like 01 44 44 73 51 (my
own number).
When calling from abroad, dial 33 (France) and discard the "0" : +33 1 44 44
73 51
