where's the problem? :-)
I'm working on a 9-page PageMaker document and its file size is about the
same.

Two possibilities:
- Pack those documents you do not work on with PKZIP or any other
achive program. You will find reductions in the 90% range.
- Get a new hard disk. Storing these 6 MB should cost about
2 US-$.
