Sella wants a title that is broader and more august than "writer."
Other people, slaves to a Dilbert-esque industry, will cough up
dull-as-ditchwater polysyllabic puffery, but the correct answer is
"Editor." The variants "Technical Editor" and "Managing Editor" are
both good, too. My favorite is "Managing Editor." People think of
Lou Grant.
