Hello,

We agree with Microsoft's style guide on i.e. and e.g. -- it says you
should never use them. This goes along with our philosophy of maximizing
user-friendliness.

ALSO -- just wanted to put in my 2 cents about examples, after seeing this
comment from Tom:

> I personally don't like to "waste" an inordinate amount of space on "for
> examples" or "that is", but that is only a personal preference.

Maybe I didn't interpret Tom's comment correctly, but it surprised me
enough to want to mention that we've found users REALLY LIKE examples. The
people in tech support usually don't approach us about much of anything,
but they _have_ asked us to put more examples in the manuals. No matter
how clear your steps are, people often don't get it or can't do it until
they see an example of how this was applied in a real-life situation.
Users really eat up those real-life examples (yum, give me MORE)!
