this is an idea that worked quite well in several big FIDOnet discussions here
in Germany.

We should try to find some two- or three-letter codes for that. Many
mail editors show only some 40 characters of the subject - at least in the
overview window.

BTW: This system works quite well even in uncivilized newsgroups like
alt.sex.stories.
