Position Announcement

University of Colorado at Denver

The Department of Communication at the University of Colorado at Denver
seeks applications for the position of department chair at the rank of
tenured professor or advanced associate professor. The University of
Colorado at Denver is a dynamic urban campus, located near downtown Denver.
The department has seven full-time faculty, about 200 undergraduate majors,
offers a minor in Technical Communication, an M.A. Program with about 50
graduate students, and an M.S. program in Technical Communication with about
40 students. Salary is commensurate with qualifications. Position is
contingent upon funding. The applicant must have a Ph.D. in Communication,
an established research record, a record of service to academic and external
communities and demonstrated excellence in teaching. Administrative
experience preferred. Review of applications will begin March 10, 1997, and
