Release notes

Rebecca Phillips wondered about the usefulness of referring
to the manual in release notes. I love it when authors do
this... I immediately go to the appropriate pages and
correct the text to reflect the new state of affairs. For
longer notes, I write in a note that there's been a major
change and where I've filed the details. Don't know how
typical I am, but it works for me.
