Permanent Position: Junior Documentation Writer
We are a rapidly growing, Toronto-based, international software company
developing and marketing client/server packages for manufacturing,
distribution, financial, and maintenance applications.
We are looking for a junior technical writer interested in building a
career in product documentation for software and business applications.
Duties:
* Write and design online help and hard-copy documentation for product
users
* Assist in developing technical manuals for internal and external
product developers
* Assist in coordinating the printing and shipping of documentation
* Help develop documentation strategy
* Assist in the development process and quality assurance program
As a member of the documentation team you must possess excellent written
and oral communication skills. You must be able to make choices on the
style and content of your documents and be able to justify your
decisions. Ideally you should have a degree in English or some other
communications-oriented program. You must thrive in high pressure
situations and have a creative and innovative approach to problem
solving. You should be a self-motivated team player with the
flexibility to move between projects. Expertise in Word, Corel Draw,
PageMaker and WinHelp are definite assets.
