Responsibilities: Provide clear, concise, on-line and written
documentation to internal and external users of Bergen-provided systems
(Mainframe, AS/400, and Client/Server). Maintain and execute
Documentation department standards to assure quality, professionally
presented, accurate documentation is delivered to our users. Offers
support and training assistance to Technical Writer I.
Qualifications: Solid oral and written communication skills; solid
organizational and interpersonal skills; willing to accept new
challenges. Attention to detail is a plus. Must be able to accurately
assess needs with some experience influencing decisions and negotiating
conflict. Must have good presentation skills. Should be familiar with
Windows-based PCs, and preferably Midrange and Mainframe systems;
experience with MS Office suite and AS/400 Word Processor. On the
Mainframe, knowledge of the following would be helpful: TSO, on-line
Help (OLH), and on-line Reference (OLR) or similar tools. Must have
demonstrated experience with Doc-to-Help and GUI.
Education Required: A BS degree or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities: The Supervisor, Documentation will manage projects and
activities related to the documentation of systems supplied to and used
by Bergen Brunswig Corporation and its customers. This includes the
direct supervision of technical writers responsible for user and
training documentation on AS/400, Mainframe, and PC platforms. S/he will
be capable of ensuring the Documentation department maintains and
executes standards to assure quality, professionally presented, accurate
documentation is delivered to the end users in a timely fashion. This
will be done in conjunction with the system developers, business owners,
end users and other impacted working teams. S/he will be knowledgeable
of current technological tools required for production of commercial
documentation.
Qualifications: Minimum of five years experience in a supervisory role,
preferably with at least three years as a technical writer and at least
two years in the information technology field. Excellent verbal and
written communication skills, good organizational skills. Extensive
knowledge of word processing, desktop publishing, and Win-Help tools.
Education Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Formal involvement
with industry organizations (e.g. STC) or Technical Writing
Certification.
