When I wrote the first style guide for my department, I thought I could
limit it to these topics, but it gradually balooned to a policies and
procedures manual as well at the direction of my manager. Eventually I told
him, "Enough already. If I put everything you want on this manual, I would
have to call it "All Previous Thought.'"
