I agree with Michael Wing. This subject has been one of the more
interesting topics that I have read. As a beginning technical writer, I too
have learned a lot more about the advantages and disadvantages of platforms
and their affects on TW than I learned in all my years at school.
From this conversation, I have learned how TW is affected by the different
OS. I have also learned the reasons why everyone out there uses MS. I do
not believe that anyone is trying to start a war about OS and techie stuff
but only offer their differing opinions on an interesting topic. The reason
we are on this technical writing list is to get a variety of opinions on
topics that affect us all. . .aren't we?
