Just for those who are thinking about applying to Alias/Wavefront
(and really, I hear it's a great place to work, if you like that stuff)
it is *not* one of those start up companies. You *won't* make
a killing on stock options.

A/W is (now) wholly owned by Silicon Graphics, so those folk who had
stock made their millions and are now sipping Margaritas
down in one of those Caribbean islands with no income tax.

But I understand that they pay well. And maybe you'll get to meet
Steven Spielberg if you work there long enough.

BTW, I agree with Jeanette, if you've got the stomach for the long,
lean years, start-up companies are definitely the way to get rich. Or
just get lean. And you WILL get buried under hours. Not for the
9-5 crowd, or those who like their benefits piled high.
