Psychologists who studied work schedules reported that output peaked
at somewhere around 50 hours per week. Beyond that, output dropped
off. This may vary depending on things like motivation (incentives), or the
type of work involved, the flexibility of the schedule, etc. The point is that
increasing time on the job beyond a certain point becomes unproductive
and then counter productive.
