Hi,
I interviewed for an editing position at a medical journal and the
interviewer asked me what was my biggest weakness. At the time I was
working in a warehouse, so I was desperate for a job that didn't require
heavy lifting. I, foolishly, went for laughs. I deadpanned, "I have a
very grave and glaring weakness...I can't speak French." I got a laugh,
but didn't get the job. Now my standard answer is "My biggest weakness
is that I can't operate a Dictaphone."
