I have found the Web Design List and Web Programming
List to be very helpful. They are maintained by Bill Weinman,
author of The CGI Book and brother of Lynda Weinman, who
has a series of popular web graphics books including
Designing Web Graphics. Both Weinman siblings
occassionally contribute to the lists along with many other
experienced and good-natured web designers and
developers.
