IDX Systems Corporation has two permanent openings for technical writers in
its Burlington, Vermont office. One position requires at least 1-2 years
experience writing end-user oriented documentation and the other position
requires 3-4 years experience.
The Technical Writer is responsible for the design, development and
maintenance of IDX documentation, including application manuals, on-line
Windows Help and/or HTML-based Help, and internal support manuals. The
Technical Writer will work with Trainers/Course Developers, Product
Administrators, Software Test Engineers, Programmers, Customer Support
staff, and other Technical Writers to fill the informational needs of IDX
audiences.
Skills Required:
BA degree in Journalism, English, Communications, or Technical Writing,
along with the number of years and related experience described above;
exceptional writing skills; desktop publishing and graphic design skills.
Tool Knowledge Preferred:
WinHelp authoring tools such as RoboHelp and Doc-To-Help, FrameMaker,
Microsoft
