Whew! It's good to know we're not alone out there dealing with these
issues by ourselves.

You should see some of the menu program titles our programmers come up
with. And then when the user gets into the program, the program title
often does not match the menu selection title. Go figure! And try to get
a programmer to give you specs on the program????

------------------------------
Specs? You don't get specs? I always get a spec. In fact, I insist on
it. I just tell Marketing that it's an absolute must -- that no one in
his right mind would do otherwise. They write the spec, hand it off to
Engineering and Documentation, and we work in parallel all the way,
merging our respective efforts into a consistent, user-friendly,
support-free product. Ahead of time. Below budget.
Ahahahahahahahaha!!! Yeah, right! Then we all go down to my oceanfront
property in Nevada and celebrate!
---------------------------------

Nate again:
My latest battle has been to keep them from using the word "iconify" on
a screen. How about "minimize"?

Me:
Iconify is a perfectly acceptable word. As in, "Iconify want to."
