I suggest you point out that the programmer's job is to
provide and review content, and your job is to organize and
present that content is the most appropriate way. I would
also tell him that you are willing to listen to his opinions on
organization and style, etc. But you will not necessarily follow
his advice on these matters. If he can't accept that, then you
have a major power struggle on your hands. Good luck.
